Through these results, it is clear to see that the CMI has not only impacted the UK financially but educationally. With the rise of films and creative flare spreading across the UK and Ireland, far more students are interested in learning about the CMI and soon, will begin their journey in working within the industry. Through the chart above, 77.8% of Northern Irish students said that they wanted to work within the CMI, thus showing that the country is changing rapidly with many young people shaping the future.

To prove that the public notice the impact of the CMI upon the economy, 88.9% of people said that they felt the CMI has had a huge impact upon the economy. To the public, it isn’t hard to notice that Northern Ireland itself has changed due to the impact of films and television shows being filmed here, one of the biggest impacts would have to be the amount of jobs opening up in the UK for people interested in the CMI, a few of these jobs include:
Camera Operator – With a job like this, one is required to follow camera
scripts and understand how to assemble the equipment for filming. An
average salary for a camera operator in the UK is about £24,727 per year.

materials for their job. An average UK salary per year would be £20,753.

commission, a graphic designer must be able to communicate with and
understand a client on what they want. A yearly salary is about £19,000 for a

Many people across the UK are able to get on board with jobs like this as
they have been in high demand for the past decade. Although most of these
jobs are in high demand across the whole of the UK and Ireland, it could be
difficult for someone with a passion within this field as most of these jobs
are freelance such as a prop designer unless they are a very experienced
prop designer within a huge company such as Warner Brothers, as for a prop
designer in the UK it is quite hard to hold down a stable job ; one of the
main problems with being freelance. Freelancing can also be a benefit for
people who have a family as there isn’t a strict work schedule/timetable to
stick by, with freelance, a person’s time and day that they work differs from
each piece of freelancing work they do, they aren’t always guaranteed work
either with freelancing, perhaps someone who don’t have others to depend
upon them would be suited for a freelance job.
